October 31, 2017 Source Latest laws A newly-wed woman, who allegedly poisoned milk in a bid to kill her husband, caused the death of 13 of her in-laws in Punjab province of Pakistan after they drank the milk when it was mixed in ‘lassi’. This incident took place in Daulat Pur in Muzaffargarh area had been shrouded in mystery when it was reported two days ago that family members had died after accidental intake of the intoxicating beverage. When Justice Dipak Misra took over as CJI on August 28, total pending cases in Supreme Court stood at 57,774. Between August 28 and October 27, a number of filed cases stood at 7,021, while about 9,195 cases were disposed of.
